lyrics

Alive on a crooked line. Imaginations stretched and belief sketched. Hooked on, but we all will fall down some day or other. Some of us will lie about it. Some will already lie down. Pirouette your way around us, like a nail spinning through our hearts. Out of thin air and into thoughts and back into fog. Uneasily put to ease. Snap your fingers and twist minds. Easily let down. Pierce your soul and let it bleed all over the dusty bones. Easily. Dance off into the morning sun. Shake, rattle and roll. Ache our skin, caress our bodies with frank words and frail syntax; drape us in situationist slogans. Catch the drift as you drift around; out of thin air and into oblivion, you won't make a sound as you fall. The pavement devours you. Your mouth is so dry; you have kissed the curb. Add gloss to our days – it is the nights that you disturb. Leave it all to history, give it no specific memory. The moon howls for you. Our boredom is as firm as rock'n'roll. And it should be tearing me apart. But you are awake. The skyscrapers dream.

about

The Immoderate Past Denmark

A band, but then again not really. Dreamy indie rock with weird ideas and poetic songwriting coupled with a lot of guitars and old drum machines. Science fiction from the future about the past.
