The concrete wall stalls me again tonight
I am staring into nothing and nothing pulls me in
Nothing captures me, and nothing incapsulates me
Salvaged by outside sounds, the noises turning into songs
Punctuated by strange rhythms and cars passing by;

I make a cup of tea, and I am temporarily pacified;

I am frantically tapping pencil on table
Thoughts gathering, then scattering on paper
I close my eyes, I float away on a dream of escape
The beat of a skipping vinyl interrupts
It drags me back into normality and pushes me forward
I investigate and I digest information
I comprehend it all but it bores me so;

I go to bed, and I fall asleep
